This neat little product works great with our Revolabs Solo Desktop and Philips 9600 digital recorder. Both of those devices normally charge directly through the USB port of the computer.
The AC adapter accepts the USB cable from devices that charge through the USB port. You then connect it directly to an AC outlet so it can charge overnight without your computer running.
