The Revolabs xTag is expected sometime 2nd Quarter 2012
The Revolabs xTag BT microphone is integrated with Bluetooth technology, allowing the microphone to be paired to any Bluetooth® enabled device, not limited to desktops and laptops, but also including cell phones, and MP3 players. Used with the provided USB dongle on a Windows based laptop, xTag BT doubles the audio bandwidth transmitted compared to regular Bluetooth devices. This allows the xTag BT to deliver audio quality over Bluetooth which is otherwise only provided by wired solutions.
The On/mute buttons are on the microphone and base unit. The base unit is about the size of a cigarette pack. Recharging and transmitting power come directly through the USB port. Battery life is typically 4 hours talk time and 8 hours standby. The battery can receive 80% of this charge in one half hour.
The Revolabs xTag audio has super clear audio. Transmitting range is up to 100 feet. The transmission is highly secure meeting HIPPA medical information guidelines. It can coexist with wireless LANs and mobile phones.
The Revolabs xTag wireless microphone works well for speech recognition in quiet environments. We do not recommend this microphone for speech recognition if you have even a moderately noisy environment. CLICK HERE to read one doctor's report.
Revolabs xTag applications include VoIP, video conferencing, tele-conferencing, web conferencing, distance learning, sound re-enforcement, audio capture, speech recognition, transcription, webcasting, podcasting, legal depositions, panel sessions, and many more.
