Make sure to read the information below about the Sennheiser ME3 and Incompatible Soundcards.
The Sennheiser ME3 microphone headset modified for speech and voice recognition is designed to be used off the right side of the head only. The headband goes around the back of the head and loops over the ears. There is no earphone for playback. Bend frame for best fit.
If you have a desktop computer and need more than an 8' cable, order the Sennheiser ME3 Extension Cable. Order two cables if you want the headset to work as a quick disconnect on a second computer.
*The Sennheiser ME 3 Headset and Soundcards
The best microphone is a poor performer if your analog voice signal is passed through a poor soundcard. We personally use and recommend the Andrea USB sound pod.
NOTE: SoundBlaster Live, SoundBlaster Audigy and SoundBlaster compatible cards (SoundMax, Realtek AC97) will not work with the Sennheiser ME3. You will need the Andrea USB pod or APS-100 Battery Box. SigmaTel Sound Cards work. Work with some Realtek HD sound card while some have low volume.
-
Super-cardioid microphone element and housing yield superior noise and feedback rejection.
- Adjustable headband and boom. Just bend to fit.
- Order a 6' cable extension for desktop computers.
- 2 year warranty from Sennheiser.
- Read an independent review by a practicing attorney
USB Sound Pod Notes:
- USB sound pods work best connected to a rear USB port of a desktop computer, any port on a Notebook computer.
- USB pods often do not work well when connected to a USB hub.
- NEVER use the APS-100 battery box with the Andrea USB sound pod.
If you want to hear playback, use computer speakers or walkman earphones.
