Voice Tracker I & II Comparison

Now that we have two array microphone products, there may be some confusion about which one to recommend for any particular application.  The following may be of help:

Voice Tracker I - target application: meeting and lecture recording as well as ASR

  • 8 microphone elements and 18 inch aperture --- 30+ foot range.
  • Less expensive than Voice Tracker II.
  • Can be used for conferencing if the user already has the system with acoustic echo cancellation or is simply recording a conference or meeting.
  • USB adapter (required for Macs) is optional.
  • Requires AC wall power connection.

Dual Voice Tracker USB - Extends Range of Voice Tracker I

  • Uses 2 Voice Tracker I connected to a USB sound pod for computer input.
  • Can be used back to back. For example, one unit faces a board (councilman, church elders, school board etc.) while the other unit faces the audience to pickup questions.
  • Units can be separated to the far ends of a room with extension cables. Good for coverage in rooms up to 50'.
  • Each Voice Tracker 1 requires AC wall power connection.

Voice Tracker II - target application: VoIP conferencing as well as ASR

  • 6 microphone elements and 12 inch aperture-- 20+ foot range.
  • Built-in acoustic echo canceller to facilitate VoIP conferencing.
  • Built in USB capability for power and audio allow a smaller size for easy portability.
  • USB output does not require wall power, analog output does.
  • The Voice Tracker™ II was targeted to work with VoIP products like Skype and WebEx.
  • Just add the Voice Tracker microphone, a camera and an external speaker to your PC and you have a low-cost conferencing system.
